Vintage Sculpture - Bust of a Man With an Entrance
We titled this small bust "A bust of a man with an entrance." We guess one can see why we used this description. That little curved entrance to his upper right shoulder resembles an entrance into a mountain or tunnel. We thought it made this bust of a man a little bit more interesting. There must have been a special meaning by the artist for that opening when the piece was created.
Likely from the 60's or 70's, the little bust is made from some kind of cast plaster or other hard medium (see the photo of it's bottom side.) Maker unknown and it appears to have been handmade. A bronze color glaze covers the bust. There are a lot of white light reflections on the piece in the photography. One small chip near his left ear.
