This vintage table from the early mid century has many characteristics of both Bouillotte and Gueridon tables. In this example, there is a pierced metal frieze at the bottom, intentionally placed on only 3 sides for easy access to place books etc on the lower shelf. As a Gueridon table, it has a circular top supported by legs. There are three embossed carved pieces around the edge of the table's top. The top of this piece has interesting grains manipulated in an almost large star pattern. Brass sabot caps on the legs.
There is some surface wear throughout the piece. It has been lovingly used by one family through the years. The top has evidence of wear marks as shown. Wood type unknown. Original wood finish and color. Brass metal frieze has patina and has not been shined or altered. 28.5" round
