A large and vertical mid century painting we have titled Leafy Impasto. A still life painting with raised painted areas called the impasto technique. A vase holds leafy branches and we are drawn in trying to make out the intentionally muted image.
We love the original gold painted wood frame. It has a lot of patina and character and is directly suited for this painting giving a bit of a low luster glow.
Artist is unknown. Painted on canvas. Some wear to the wood frame. Some surface wear to the painted canvas with a few small chips of missing paint primarily on the raised painted areas.
