Reposed NY has always been fascinated with the Espana dresser by Dorothy Draper. This particular chest of drawers is unmarked and has many of the hallmarks of the dresser that has been made famous and well known as the Espana. It is likely not one of the originals made by Henredon, however we loved it just the same. It is a mid century piece. And we like to think of it in a foyer or in a room with a funky, spectacular lamp situated on top.
Small in scale. 3 drawers. Minor surface wear.
Black finish wood. Gold tone front drawer designs. Brass pulls. Interesting Spanish style applied medallions on it's front.
Wood type is unknown. Plywood black stained back.
