This Art Deco chest of drawers has iconic design sensibility pulling from architecture in the 1930's and 1940's. Dated on its backside 1941 or 45, this unusual piece has the graduated upward visual moving sections similar to some Deco buildings.
We love the ziggurat or stepped series of drawers that are pyramidal in appearance.
The piece was found painted in hues of grey and white. The paint is newer however the antique form is incredible and unusual. Please in a bedroom or foyer. it almost needs no accessories on it but rather a great mirror or piece of art above it. On the back of the drawers we find cursive writing reading Leasure Cabinet Shop and several numbers. We are unsure if that was the original maker.
Minor surface wear.
