Fabulous imagery in the faces and costumes of the people on this Art Deco Asian screen. Large, standing at almost 6 feet tall, the triple section screen is made of old canvas on wood. The canvas has been painted by an unknown artist who had incredible technique.
The wood and canvas screen open on black leather hinges. The reverse side of this screen is painted red canvas. The screen does open and stand. We would love to see the sections of this screen perhaps hung individually, mostly because the condition of one section is in fair, deteriorating condition.
The screen was found at an estate. There are holes and tears here and there. The third section is tattered. There is evidence of old water marks on the bottom of the screen. Some fading. Backside also has some holes and tears.
