1940's Painting, The Harbor
A small story is being told in this 1940's oil painting. A great example of the post WPA and New Deal style of art from the post war era. The boats Carl and Lynda are docked at an old harbor. It almost appears that there are dogs are waiting on Carl to head to land. The wonderfully aged boat house, with a citron door, has the boat hand waiting for the next move.
